A great Brown taken on a Natural Pearl Zonker ripped over a shallow shelf.

Over the past week our area has seen its first accumulation of snow, cold, and windy weather.  Fall is definitely here and the fish know it.  The Browns are beginning to spawn and are eagerly looking to attack streamers and swinging soft hackles through low riffles and deep pools.  Zebra midges and micro mayflies are working well sub surface, and fish are being taken on top with small Adams, BWO’s, and Spinners.  Egg patters will start to work well in the coming weeks as the river systems start to see an influx of spawning activity.  We’ve even had some trout still take the occasional hopper every now and then.  We are looking forward to the remainder of October and know that fishing will keep getting better throughout the month!
